Yes, I thought the same thing...
This is all staged to show the "instability" of the world. We lost the Iraq War by pulling out with our tail between our legs under a communist President. Russia, China and N. Korea are still rattling their sabers. They are making it known that we can not win the war on terror, because it is really a proxy war against Communism.

Russia still has 50 to 60 R-36 or SS-18 "SATAN" (NATO codename) missile/silos in service, all the 10 warhead MOD5 variety with near 1 megaton warheads. These are big liquid fuel missiles with reloadable silos due to a "cold" launch with a gas pressurized system.
How many reloads for each silo exist would be just a guess.
It is said Russia decommisioned their 20 megaton single warhead "Satans", something like 10 or more of them, each set up for an EMP attack on North America.
Likewise with the ones carrying refrigerated smallpox warheads.
